NUMUNDO

NuMundo.org – A global platform that connects people to permaculture farms, ecovillages and holistic wellness centers.

We provide connect people to meaningful experiences to facilitate personal transformation and accelerate the development of impact centers. Through our own exploration, we have found hundreds of hubs globally that are examples of sustainable and holistic living, producing practical, low-cost solutions to the global climate crisis. These hubs incorporate ideals like community living, whole systems design, appropriate technology, seed banking, holistic health, and regenerative enterprise. Through our platform, we envision these impact centers becoming more accessible to the world and easily sharing crucial information and resources.

EARTH ODYSSEY BUS TOUR

Earth Odyssey Bus Tour – 4 Month Service Trip from San Diego to Panama

The Earth Odyssey bus tour was a mobile village of 25 permaculture specialists who traveled from San Diego to Panama offering our skills to a nutrition center, indigenous women cooperative, a chool, permaculture education center and an orphanage. The crewon was hand selected for their skills in natural building, composting, human centered design, permaculture design, recycled blacksmithing, event production, community building, holistic healing. Our media team Republic of Light beautifully captures this experience. After serving several existing projects we implemented three new projects in Guatemala:

NUMUNDO: SOLAR COOKING

An industrial sized solar dehydrator and solar oven were custom built at Konojel Nutrition Center, a place that feeds 80 free meals a day to malnourished Guatemalan families. Along with the installation of appropriate technology, the amazing team assisted the center with coming up with a business plan for “Solar Granola” and dried fruit to help keep the project growing.

NUMUNDO: NATURAL BUILDING

A small demonstration learning center built with bottle bricks, bamboo, cob and other recycled materials was constructed in the small indigenous Mayan community of Santiago in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.

NUMUNDO: NATURAL TEXTILE DYES

A natural dye and medicinal garden, rocket-stove and rain water catchment system were installed at Kamajachel Women`s Artisan Cooperative in Panajachel, Lake Atitlan. Now, the indigenous women are practicing the art of natural dyeing for their incredible textiles while using the space as a sustainability learning and demonstration center for students and tours!

NATURE IMMERSION RETREATS

In Big Sur and Anza Borrego, California we facilitated Nature Immersion Retreats where participants had the opportunity to let go of bad habits and draw inspiration for new practices that revitalize their wellbeing. They had time to slow down and be perceptive to the signs and wisdom that nature may present. Creating a safe community among us, we opened our hearts and trusted where the magic could takes us. The takeaway is simple- regardless of your lifestyle and where you live you can always be in communion with nature and integrate the tranquility into your daily life.

THE IGNITE EXPERIENCE

Collaborative Convergence held in Chile allowing foreigners to deepen the understanding and interactions of foreigners to local culture. Over three days, we invited international entrepreneurs to the small town of Pisco Elqui, Chile and engaged with the kids of a local NGO, Tierre y Valle. The group worked together to facilitate a cultural exchange, play engaging games, compile a list of passions and skills from the kids, identify local problems and decide on a project to work on to improve their community. Participants received a transformative and unique travel experience, the youth learned about new cultures and felt empowered and the NGO received free consulting from the entrepreneurs.
